Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead - Riding for the Disabled Association

Riding for the Disabled Association

Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead Riding for the Disabled Association is a local charity providing therapeutic riding sessions for children and adults with disabilities. Volunteers and ponies offer therapy, achievement, and enjoyment to visitors and riders with disabilities. The physical challenge and mental stimulus from riding help improve muscle tone, coordination, balance and social skills. Participating can deliver a feeling of independence, a sense of achievement and greater self-confidence.

Sessions run throughout the week and include riding exercises to teach riding skills, games and gentle walks around the property in fair weather.
