Stroke Club (Aphasia) - Ashford TALK

TALK provides long-term support for people with aphasia. Ashford TALK meets weekly at The Salvation Army offices in Ashford.
Each term has a planned programme. Sessions have themes suggested by members and volunteers. Every stroke member is supported by a volunteer.
Activities focus on communication skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. Sessions may include:
- quizzes and worksheets
 - music
 - craft work
 - games
 - using numbers, money and dates
 
The aim is to build confidence and improve communication in a friendly setting.
