Waverley Borough Council Handy Person Scheme

The Handy Person Scheme offers a helping hand in falls prevention in the home for the residents of Waverley.

The most common places in the home to help prevent a fall are by the stairs (both internally and externally) followed by the bathroom, the living room and the bedroom.

If you are over 60, disabled or vulnerable they can carry out some minor works to the home free of charge, including:

• installation of hand/grab rails
• internal bannister rails
• external galvanised railings
• installation of key safes
• home safety check
• hospital to home - home check
