The Miller Centre is home to 2 community groups
- The Miller Centre Theatre Company
- The Miller Centre Club
New members are welcome in both groups.
Join the Theatre Company if you want to be involved in performances (acting on stage, directing, sound, lighting, properties, wardrobe and stage management).
Join the Miller Centre Club to take part in activities and to volunteer. Volunteer activities include working in the Box Office, set construction and painting, making and repairing costumes or being part of a "Front of House" team on show nights (acting as ushers, selling ice creams, bar drinks and programmes or serving refreshments).
Activities, available to Club members only, include 2 Book Clubs, Bridge, Mahjong, Miller Moviemakers, Poetry, Painting (oil and mixed media), Scrabble, Table Tennis, Pilates, Tai Chi and Yoga. The Miller Centre Outings Club arranges excursions to places of interest.
Special Requirements
Sennheiser hearing loop installed. There are 2 device types:
- If you wear hearing aids with a 'T' switch, pick up a loop connector, which is worn like a necklace.
- For everyone else we have in-ear receivers, rather like personal headphones.
