The Silver Line Helpline run by Age UK is a free, 24-hour telephone service for older people across the UK. This is a service for people aged 55 and over.

They offer:

  • telephone friendship, conversation and support
  • information and support
  • advice on how to access local groups and services
  • a referral to regular friendship calls, a service also run by Age UK
  • support for older people experiencing abuse and neglect

Calls are confidential.
