Care and Repair Elmbridge (CARE)

Care and Repair Elmbridge (CARE) is a home improvement agency run by Elmbridge Borough Council.

If you are an owner-occupier or private tenant on a low income, aged 70 or over or disabled, who needs to repair, improve or adapt your home, then CARE may be able to help you.
Many older or vulnerable people find it difficult to carry out odd jobs around the home and don’t have anybody they can ask to help.

CARE can provide a project management service, from the design and planning stage, through to recommending contractors and organising and overseeing the work.
If you or a member of your household is disabled, they may be able to offer you a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) if you need to adapt your home to help you continue living there.

CARE also offers a handyperson service to carry out minor repair jobs in and around the home.
