The U3A is a self-help learning organisation. It is different from other similar organisations because, rather than paying people to teach, we encourage members to share their knowledge and talents with other members. This self-help model empowers us to create our own opportunities to learn in the ways that suit us best.
Woking Area U3A is one of 23 in Surrey and 900 in the UK. It has more than 70 groups from Art to Yoga and including Bridge, Languages, Politics and Walking among them.
We have more than 1, 200 members but welcome new ones, especially those with the enthusiasm to share their skills by leading new groups.
