Community Alarms and Telecare Runnymede

The Community Alarm (also known as a pendent alarm) service from Runnymede Borough Council is a way for elderly or vulnerable Runnymede residents to get help in an emergency at the touch of a button.

The alarm unit can easily be installed in a person's home and comes with a wearable pendant. Pressing the pendant activates the alarm, which automatically calls a care centre.

Community alarms are designed to support people of any age who may feel vulnerable in their home. This can include older people, those with a physical, sensory or learning disability, those at risk of falling, patients who have recently left hospital, or victims of crime who would benefit from extra peace of mind.
