Surrey Sands Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society

Surrey Sands supports bereaved parents - bereavement support is at the core of everything they do. Some of the services that they offer include telephone support (helpline), befrienders, group support, and much more.

Surrey Sands is there to help when your baby has died either during your pregnancy, around the time of birth, or within the first few weeks of life.

Whether you are a mother or a father, family or friends, Surrey Sands can help you come to terms with what has happened.

They cover Epsom General Hospital, St Helier, St Peter's Hospital, Croydon University Hospital, East Surrey, Kingston Hospital and Royal Surrey.

Surrey Sands also trains healthcare professionals - they try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care. They provide training and talks for health professionals based on the Sands Guidelines, which give practical guidance on how to meet parents' needs and provide good bereavement care.
