FATN Talking News
Farnham and Alton Talking Newspaper
FATN Talking News (formerly known as The Farnham and Alton Talking Newspapers) is a charitable organisation, based in a studio in Farnham, that provides high quality recordings of local newspapers for the visually impaired.
FATN Talking News is staffed by a volunteer workforce and is funded entirely by voluntary donations.
Each week four separate recordings of the weekly newspapers are produced, covering: Waverley, Rushmoor, Hart, Surrey Heath and East Hampshire. Also, a monthly magazine is recorded during the first week of each month and appended to the weekly news recordings for that week.
The recordings, which are produced on memory sticks and delivered free of charge to listeners by the Post Office, can be played on a dedicated unit which is given to a listener by FATN Talking News.
