The Meeting Place at Great Bookham

The Meeting Place has been supporting members of the Bookham community for 10 years. They believe that no-one should feel alone if they are experiencing loneliness or isolation and they are dedicated to helping people find support or advice where needed. Their approach is to provide a welcome for all with time for all. The Meeting Place is run by a committed and friendly group of people from the local churches and friends.

Their services include:

• coffee shop
• language classes to those whose first language is not English
• lip-reading classes
• a telephone befriending service
• a community fridge
