Dapdune Wharf is a former wharf on the Wey and Godalming Navigations in Guildford. The site is now an award-winning museum telling the stories of the river and the people who once lived and worked there. The museum is fully accessible and has facilities for visually impaired visitors.
Set in four acres of grounds in the heart of Guildford, Dapdune Wharf is the historic home of the Wey barges that worked the waterways from Guildford to the Port of London in the first half of the nineteenth century.
The site includes interactive displays, a smithy, a stable, and two of the three remaining Wey barges in the world.
Visitors can also enjoy boat trips starting from Dapdune Wharf.
Dapdune Wharf is maintained by the National Trust and serves as the head office of the Wey and Godalming Navigations
The site features a complex of buildings, including a barge repair shed, carpenters shed, and a Grade II listed cottage.
