Elmbridge Dementia Services - Social Clubs
Elmbridge Borough Council
These social clubs are for people living with dementia. They are hugely beneficial and help people with dementia to live well. They offer fun, friendship and a safe place to spend the day, while giving carers a break.
About the clubs:
- held at the Claygate Centre for the Community
- run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- open from 10am to 3pm
- lunch, drinks and snacks are provided
What to expect:
- small groups with trained staff and volunteers
- activities based on each person’s strengths and interests
- a friendly, welcoming space to meet others
- one staff member for every five people
Before joining:
- you are invited to visit the centre
- staff will learn about your needs, interests and life story
- you can visit a group before deciding to join
