Podiatry (foot health) service

First Community Health and Care

Podiatrists assess and treat a range of foot problems for patients in particular risk of complications resulting from conditions such as diabetes, arthritic conditions, rheumatoid arthritis and any vascular disease. Highly skilled practitioners also provide nail surgery and nail management for high risk patients.

You must be registered with an East Surrey GP practice to be referred. You can get a referral from your GP or consultant or you can do a self-referral. To self-refer, follow the instructions on the Podiatry Service web page

The team may be able to assist with the following problems:

  • foot lesions wounds (for example, ulcerations)
  • problematic hard skin or callus and corns
  • ingrown toenails
  • foot pain

The Podiatry Service does not provide a nail cutting service

If you do not qualify for NHS podiatry input or have been discharged and are looking for ongoing podiatry support, you can find a podiatrist online.

This is an NHS service.
