Ashford and District Smallholders
The Ashford and District Smallholders allotment society has over 140 members, and welcomes both novice and experienced gardeners. They are a friendly group, and you can always get advice and help from your fellow members if you need it.
Their members have a wide range of gardening styles. Many have traditional vegetable plots, filled with potatoes, onions, carrots, and cabbages. Some also grow trees and soft fruit, such as apples, plums, raspberries, and strawberries. Others prefer the cottage garden style, with a range of flowers mixed in with their fruit and veg. Others again like to have somewhere they can relax on a summer afternoon, with a summerhouse, patio, garden chairs and wildlife pond.
