Start a conversation that matters this Christmas
Surrey County Council and Age UK Surrey are encouraging residents this Christmas to start a conversation that matters.
The festive season is traditionally a time for celebrations and socialising with family and friends. With everyone together, it may also be an opportunity to bring up conversations with loved ones about making plans for the future as perhaps you've noticed a family member seems a little more frail or needs extra support.
Starting the conversation can be a positive step to start planning ahead and thinking about what's important to you and your family or friends if things change. It also helps in understanding their wishes when it comes to care arrangements.
Visit Age UK Surrey's Planning for your future web page for everything you need to get started. Here you will find a new checklist guide to planning for your future, covering everything from healthy living and care and support options to financial planning, wills and lasting power of attorney.
Age UK Surrey is holding information events running through until March. Find a local session and book a free place on the Age UK local events web page. More dates will be added.
